Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino dropped a major update on fans about the discovery of cocaine in the White House earlier this month after the agency claimed it could not find enough evidence to name a suspect.
“On July 12, the Secret Service received the FBI’s laboratory results, which did not develop latent fingerprints and insufficient DNA was present for investigative comparisons. Therefore, the Secret Service is not able to compare evidence against the known pool of individuals. The FBl’s evaluation of the substance also confirmed that it was cocaine,” the agency said in a statement last week.
“There was no surveillance video footage found that provided investigative leads or any other means for investigators to identify who may have deposited the found substance in this area. Without physical evidence, the investigation will not be able to single out a person of interest from the hundreds of individuals who passed through the vestibule where the cocaine was discovered. At this time, the Secret Service’s investigation is closed due to a lack of physical evidence,” the statement continued.
But Bongino says he has been getting texts from former Secret Service colleagues who said unequivocally that the agency knows exactly who brought the substance into the White House.
“They are absolutely furious about this,” he said in an interview posted by The Daily Signal. “I got 50 emails, communications, texts from people. ‘This is embarrassing. Humiliating … They know exactly who it was.’”
Earlier, he explained the difference between entering the White House via the East Wing versus the West Wing, with the latter being much more secure and offering only limited access to a privileged few.
“So, there’s probably less than 200 people who could have left this cocaine,” he told Mary Margaret Olohan.
“They gotta know who did it. The question is, who’s pressuring them … to not find out who did it. And it’s gotta be coming from this White House,” he added.
“There’s no way that this should have went down the way it did,” he said. “Let me just say as a personal plea to my former colleagues in the Secret Service whom I adore and love, ‘Don’t do to that agency what the FBI did to itself.’”
Asked if he thought that the person who left the drug was Hunter Biden, who is a known user and who admitted as much in a biography he wrote, Bongino said, “Is it Hunter or one of his friends?”
“Here’s the thing,” he went on. “I’m in the Secret Service 12 years, a good amount of time. We’ve never had this problem. … By Occam’s Razor, the process of deduction. Keep things simple. Keep it simple, stupid.
“You’ve got this guy, we never found coke in there before. You’ve got a dude who’s doing coke on tape, who’s got a reputation for being a coke addict. He’s living in the White House. He’s there on Friday. The coke’s found on Sunday, and everybody is like, ‘Gosh, who could it be?’”
Earlier, in a Rumble video titled “The Cocaine-Gate Inside Scoop,” Bongino gave his accaunt of what he believes happened after the Secret Service announced on that a “suspicious white powder” found in the White House turned out to be the illegal drug.
“DO NOT TRUST the White House version of events about the cocaine. The Bongino Rule is in full effect,” he prefaced on Twitter.
