The FBI is on extremely thin ice these days. The agency has largely lost the trust of the American people, due to its underhanded tactics and selective application of the law.
Furthermore, since the Biden White House has been running things, the FBI stands accused of intentionally covering up crimes committed by the president and his family.
FBI Director Christopher Wray isn’t doing much to restore the agency’s image or reputation. In fact, the more Americans hear from Wray, the more leery they become.
This time around, Wray was taken to task by GOP Rep. Victoria Spartz, as reported by the Gateway Pundit.
The New KGB?
Republican Rep. Spartz was not only born in Ukraine, but she also is very familiar with the Soviet Republic era. It’s for this reason that Spartz informed Wray that how the FBI operates isn’t too dissimilar from the KGB.
The Indiana congresswoman conveyed to Wray that the censorship, surveillance, and intimidation which the FBI continues to unleash on the American public is shameful.
Furthermore, Spartz ripped into the FBI director for the agency’s alleged cover-ups, saying this too aligns with KGB tactics.
Before she was done with him, the Republican lawmaker said Congress needs to have a closer look at both the FBI and how to protect Americans from the agency’s abuses.
Nothing of Value From Wray
Throughout this entire ordeal, the FBI director failed to provide meaningful, sensible explanations about how the agency is operating on his watch. Then again, it wouldn’t be the first time that Wray’s various congressional testimonies left much to be desired.
At the end of the day, Republicans in the House and Senate have been clear that they intend to keep searching for answers and holding the FBI accountable.
All things considered, it doesn’t look like the agency will be getting back in the good books of Americans anytime soon.
